Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a chronic, often painful condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, affecting roughly 1 in 10 reproductive-aged women.it is believed to involve retrograde menstruation, immune system dysfunction, and genetic factors.

Endometriosis is frequently misdiagnosed because its symptoms overlap with many other common conditions, and there is still a lack of awareness among both patients and healthcare providers.

For example, a person might develop other symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating etc. As such, Endometriosis symptoms can mimic digestive disorders like IBS. (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
